Reeta Sabharwal is the Director (finance &admn) and is also on the Board of Governing Members of Action for Autism. Reeta has coordinated the setting up of the National Centre For Autism and Open Door School and manages all the logistics related to the place and the people associated with AFA. Reeta also speaks on the cause at various forum. She is parent to Isheeta a young girl with autism.

Merry Barua is an activist, special educator, and a parent to a son with autism. Merry started the autism movement in India when lack of information and misconception about this enigmatic disorder abounded. Merry writes, teaches, lobbies, sensitizes, counsels and advocates. Action for Autism, the parent organization that she helped found is infused with Merry’s vision of an inclusive society that looks not merely at individuals with social and communication challenges, but at those who do not fit into society’s judgmental ‘norms’
