TMTT is the leading independent Music Therapy charity in India & Nepal, dedicated to changing the lives of vulnerable, marginalised and isolated people.
Music Therapy has been proven to aid in the development of language, communication, behavioural, social and cognitive skills. In the hands of our trained and skilled Music Therapists, music can uncover new levels of confidence in those marginalised by poverty, and those with complex disabilities, mental health issues or facing terminal illness.
Our mission is to ensure that every child and adult has access to affordable music therapy in the community, helping to improve their well-being and quality of life through creative and participatory music making.
The Music Therapy Trust is a private, non-profit making NGO and a unique example of collective philanthropy in India. The Trust introduced the first Postgraduate Diploma in Music Therapy to train Indian and Nepalese musicians to receive a clinical qualification, employment and career development in the music therapy profession.
