Applications invited for One year part time PG Diploma course in Clinical Music Therapy
This is to inform you that The Music Therapy Trust is inviting applications for its One Year Part time PG Diploma Course in Clinical Music Therapy. This course has been developed and is being delivered in collaboration with "Otakar Kraus Music Trust", which has been providing Music Therapy in the UK for 25 years.
We are offering this course for musicians of a professional standard who may also have a background in the caring professions eg. health professionals, psychologists, social workers, teachers or special educators. The Music Therapy Trust is pioneering this one year part time international training in India. The course provides detailed theoretical and practical knowledge of the different Music Therapy interventions and methods used in clinical settings. Additionally outside lecturers will provide learning in areas including Child Psychology, Psychotherapy, Medicine,Counseling, Psychiatry, other Arts’ Therapies, Family Therapy, Speech Therapy etc.
This program is being designed in such a way where people can attend classes, without disrupting their work schedule.
The faculty of this course includes National and International experts (UK and USA) from a clinical Music Therapy background.

Australian cricketing legend Mr Brett Lee officially launched Music Therapy Academy at TMTT, Delhi
Australian cricketer Brett Lee launched a Music Therapy Academy to help the physically challenged as well as children suffering from trauma. The Academy in partnership with “Brett Lee Foundation” will train Indian musicians to make a difference in the lives of children affected by trauma, illness or multiple psychosocial or cognitive challenges by offering an international post-graduate diploma in clinical music therapy. The course will be led by music therapist Lucanne Magill, who has moved from the US to train students.
Liesbeth Staelens; Music Therapist from Belgium is coming to work with The Music Therapy Trust , Nepal in August 2012
Liesbeth Staelens , (Music Therapist-Belgium) who undergone clinical placement at TMTT, Nepal in 2011,is returning back to Nepal in August,2012 to work with underprivileged society of Nepal.

Anna Van Eck from Netherlands will be joining TMTT, Nepal for her internship placement in Sept, 2012.
Anna Van Eck from Netherlands is coming to The Music Therapy Trust in September, 2012 to pursue her internship under the supervision of her course supervisor, Dr Lucanne Magill. Presently she is studying at HAN University of applied sciences in Nijmegen, Arts therapy education (Major: Music therapy. She plays different instruments like piano, violin, guitar, drums/percussion and marimba. She is passionate about Music Therapy profession and willing to utilize her core competency to serve marginalized society of Nepal.
